Dr. Peter Stein, the former Director of CDER’s Office of New Drugs at the FDA, was fired from his position as a result of cuts to the Department of Health and Human Services. During an interview with Rachel Maddow, Former FDA Commissioner Dr. David Kessler told Maddow that Dr. Stein was the one who approved the monoclonal antibodies treatment that may have saved President Trump’s life when he got Covid during his first term.
