Recent wildfires torch areas in and around Los Angeles

Firefighters continue to battle back two recent wildfires in and around Los Angeles — the Hughes Fire, north near Castaic Lake and the Sepulveda Fire, the forward progress of which has been halted by first responders.

At least six wildfires have been razing the landscape around Los Angeles, prompting tens of thousands of evacuations and causing dozens of deaths.
