Senator Mark Warner called it a “holy crap on steroids” breach to MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow when the news first broke; security experts raised alarm; and after weeks of criticism, Waltz has been removed from that post, transferred to New York to be U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations.
