Danielle Brooks and Lewis Pullman announced the nominations for the 98th Academy Awards on Jan. 22, which included major snubs and surprises, like Ariana Grande, Paul Mescal, Jennifer Lawrence and Miley Cyrus. Despite Ariana Grande’s performance as Glinda in ‘Wicked: For Good’ being well awarded throughout the season thus far, she missed out in the Best Supporting Actress category, as did ‘Marty Supreme’ star Odessa A’Zion. In the Best Supporting Actor category, Paul Mescal was also notably missing, despite earning plenty of previous praise for his ‘Hamnet’ performance. The 98th Oscars will be held on Sunday, March 15, 2026, at the Dolby Theater at Ovation Hollywood and will air live on ABC and stream on Hulu.
