A powerful 6.3-magnitude earthquake struck northern Afghanistan early Monday, killing at least 20 people and injuring hundreds more as homes crumbled across Samangan province. The quake damaged the historic Blue Mosque in Mazar-e-Sharif and left residents digging through rubble in search of survivors.
