Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey praised the “heroic” teachers who helped save students at the Annunciation Catholic School and Church during Wednesday morning’s mass shooting. Frey said that staffers at the school acted quickly “in the face of danger” to protect as many students as possible when transgender shooter Robin Westman opened fire during Mass. The mayor also called out the excessive amount of guns in the country, saying, “We’ve got more guns in this country than we have people and it’s on all of us to recognize the truth and the reality that we can’t just say that this should not happen again and then allow it to happen again and again beyond that.”
