A major controversy erupts after nearly 3,000 pages of private group chat messages from Young Republicans get leaked to the media, containing edgy jokes and offensive language that has Democrats and establishment Republicans racing to condemn them. Meanwhile, actual calls for political violence from Democrat officials get completely ignored by the mainstream press. JD Vance refuses to join the pearl-clutching crowd and points out the hypocrisy, while weak GOP organizations from multiple states issue groveling apologies. The same people who celebrated actual assassination attempts are now clutching their pearls over private jokes between friends. Conservative Inc. propped-up influencers join the virtue signaling parade, with one even calling for more immigration despite overwhelming evidence it’s destroying the country. The double standard is glaring – leaked private messages with dark humor get wall-to-wall coverage and condemnation, but Democrats openly celebrating violence get a free pass. This is the latest example of the establishment trying to demonize normal people for having a sense of humor while giving their own side unlimited immunity for actually dangerous rhetoric.
