There are not many truths that can change your life forever. In Jesus’ simple introduction to the church at Philadelphia, we read four truths for a forever-changed life. In this incredible letter to Philadelphia, Jesus reintroduces Himself.
He never just says, “Hi, I’m Jesus.” He tells us again, each time, who He is, along with a description of what He does.
Revelation 3:8a—These saints had (open door) opportunities to serve, doors that Jesus opened for them. That means Jesus opens doors for us to do things He desires, places those open doors before us, and awaits our response. Jesus can keep an open door from getting closed, a ministry that cannot be stopped, but just for a time. It is all His unfolding will that we follow and obey.
