Irris Makler was France 24’s correspondent in Jerusalem for many years, until last year. On this day of remembrance of the October 7 attacks in Israel, she shares her memories of the event and says she believes that some Israelis are still in shock. ‘It’s still October 7 for many people’, she says. She also talks about the difficulty of working on such conflicts as a journalist, and the probability of finding a peace deal between Israel and Hamas.
