Greenland’s Prime Minister says his nation would rather remain part of Denmark than become a territory of the United States.
Jens-Frederik Nielsen was speaking in a joint press conference in Copenhagen with Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen. Their meeting was in response to President Trump’s repeated threats to take over Greenland, which is currently an autonomous territory of Denmark. The two countries’ foreign ministers are to hold talks in Washington on Wednesday with US Vice President JD Vance and Secretary of State Marco Rubio. With analysis from DW Correspondent Jack Parrock.
