The European Space Agency (#ESA), with Airbus Defense and Space, has unveiled a new #satellite dedicated to the monitoring of the world’s #forests. "Biomass" will map tropical and temperate environments with extreme precision and is scheduled for launch in April. Once in orbit, it will be capable of mapping the entire Earth’s surface in just nine months.
