Former Rep. Matt Gaetz appeared in the audience at the Department of War’s first press conference Tuesday after Pentagon reporters surrendered their building passes in lieu of signing a controversial agreement with the dept.
Gaetz – who sported an old jacket reading “Representative Matt Gaetz,” – resigned from Congress in late 2024 after being named by Donald Trump as his candidate for Attorney General. Not long after, he withdrew his name for the job when a series of scandalous allegations against him surfaced — including claims of sexual misconduct and illicit behavior.
