Allyson Phillips, the mother of Laken Riley, warned that what happened to her daughter could happen to any family and thanked President Trump for his support. Trump called Phillips to the stage to discuss her daughter, a 22-year-old Georgia nursing student who was murdered while out jogging by a Venezuelan man in the country illegally, during his event for Angel Families. “This could be any family,” Phillips warned. “This happened to my family, this could be any one of your families.”
