Christians in the occupied East Jerusalem marked Holy Thursday with a solemn foot-washing ritual at Deir al-Moukhalles Church.
During the ceremony, the priest washed the feet of congregants, reenacting a ritual rooted in Christian belief commemorating Jesus washing the feet of his disciples at the Last Supper before his crucifixion.
The service was attended by a limited number of worshippers due to restrictions imposed by Israel.
