China has given the EU certain assurances regarding rare earth mineral exports and efforts to end the war in Ukraine, during a tense one-day summit in Beijing. The meeting aimed to recalibrate strained trade relations, as both sides face tariff threats from US President Donald Trump. Camille Nedelec reports from Hong Kong.
