Senior Border Patrol official Greg Bovino returned to the Chicago area on Tuesday after spending about a month overseeing immigration enforcement operations in other cities, according to immigration advocates. Residents and activists protested the return, as Border Patrol agents used pepper balls and detained a man along the neighborhood’s business corridor.
