Poland is imposing checks at its borders with Germany and Lithuania in an effort to clamp down on illegal migration. The controls came into effect at midnight on Monday and will last for an initial 30 day period.
The issue was a top priority for voters in last month’s presidential election. TRT World’s Victoria Innes has the latest.
