Newly released bodycam footage shows El Monte police officers approaching activist Maria Santay’s car on January 30 as she livestreamed, telling her they were responding to reports that she was following federal agents. Federal immigration officers later smashed her car window with a hammer and detained her for several hours, according to reports.
