The two gunmen who opened fire on Australia’s Bondi Beach where thousands of Jews were celebrating Hanukkah are believed to be a father-son duo who had a trove of legally-owned guns. Naveed Akram, 24, and his 50-year-old accomplice are believed to be father and son, authorities said on Monday. The investigation into the deadly shooting at Brown University is “progressing extremely fast,” cops revealed Sunday — after they detained a person of interest who is in their 20s. Police stormed a Coventry, RI, hotel around 3:45 a.m to take the individual into custody after an 11-hour manhunt. “It’s all hands on deck,” Providence Police Chief Col. Airports across the New York City area — and the northeast — are facing horrendous delays after a snowstorm dumped up to eight inches of snow on the tri-state. LaGuardia Airport was under a ground stop, with delays of nearly six hours as of noon Sunday. A large emergency response was seen outside Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island, following a shooting at the university. Brown University sent out alerts to students notifying them throughout the situation to keep them safe. A car thief let off a fire extinguisher in the apparent hope of hampering a police pursuit, video showed, but failed to make a great escape. Dashcam footage released by West Midlands Police shows the car in which 19-year-old Shane McCallion was a passenger as the fire extinguisher is let off. Police said officers spotted the car after it was reported stolen in late October. At one point, the extinguisher itself is thrown from the car. McCallion was arrested for theft and aiding and abetting dangerous driving. He pleaded guilty at Birmingham Magistrates’ Court, police said on December 11. #carthief…
