Four people are in custody after a possible smoke bomb went off during an anti-Muslim protest outside Gracie Mansion, causing a mass panic on Saturday. Deputies with the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office rescued a man from a burning vehicle following a multi-car crash on Interstate 95 that sent one vehicle into a wooded area. When they arrived, they found the car engulfed in flames and the driver ejected nearby, unable to move. Deputies immediately pushed through brush and pulled the man to safety.
