A New York City father allegedly beat his 2-year-old son within an inch of his life at a Queens shelter and went days without getting the tot medical help, according to cops and sources. Dayvon Morrison, 30, was arrested Tuesday for the horrific assault on his son that has left the young boy fighting for his life, the NYPD said. The dad is accused of thrashing the tot at a Queens homeless shelter sometime late Friday night and then leaving the shelter and taking the battered child inside a stroller into Manhattan the next morning, sources said.
