A drug that can slow the symptoms of Alzheimer’s has been approved by the UK’s medicines regulator.
Lecanemab has been given the green light for use in Britain after being found to delay the progression of the condition by between 4 and 6 months.
However, it will not be rolled out on the NHS – with a health service watchdog ruling it is not cost-effective.
