Two people were arrested at a protest outside of an ICE facility in Portland on Sunday, reportedly including a 17-year-old for fourth-degree assault and a 38-year-old man for third-degree assault. Hundreds of people had joined the demonstration to protest President Trump’s plan to send National Guard Troops to the city. Oregon Governor Tina Kotek posted a video on Saturday arguing that "There is no national security threat in Portland. Our communities are safe and calm," as the city announced it would sue the Trump administration over the deployment. Meanwhile, President Trump promoted the use of "full force" against protesters if needed.
