According to Lieutenant Adam Zeko, the call came from a female adult who claimed that her husband had pushed her and locked her out of their residence. Upon investigating, deputies determined that Madsen, 66, was involved in the domestic incident with his wife, leading to his arrest. He was booked into the Malibu/Lost Hills sheriff’s station around 1:40 a.m. and was released shortly thereafter upon posting a $20,000 bond.
The misdemeanor charge, under California Penal Code 243(e)(1), involves using force or violence against a cohabitant and could result in a sentence of up to one year in jail. The case is ongoing and will be forwarded to the Van Nuys Superior Court House for further proceedings.
