Israel is hunting the man by air and satellite. How much longer until they get to this ‘leader’ of Iran’s paramilitary group in Lebanon?
Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah has vowed retaliation against Israel for the assassination of the group’s top commander a week ago, stating that they will act “regardless of the consequences.” Nasrallah emphasized that keeping Israel on edge is “part of the punishment.”
“Be Patient!”

“Their government, their army, their society, their settlements and their occupiers are all waiting,” Nasrallah said, adding that this suspense is “part of the battle.”
Just before Nasrallah’s speech, loud sonic booms from Israeli jets flying over central Beirut were heard. The speech commemorated Fuad Shukr, Hezbollah’s top commander, who was assassinated a week ago. A CNN team in Beirut felt the building shake and saw the jets release several flares.
The ongoing cross-border skirmishes escalated further on Tuesday when Hezbollah launched multiple drones targeting what they claimed were military sites in northern Israeli cities. The Israel Defense Forces reported intercepting one of the drones, resulting in several injuries, including a seriously wounded man in Nahariya, a northern Israeli city.
In retaliation, Israel struck a building in southern Lebanon, killing five people. According to the Israeli military, the building was used by Hezbollah.
The region is now on high alert, anticipating responses from both Hezbollah and Iran following the assassinations of Shukr and Hamas’ political leader Ismail Haniyeh, who was killed in Tehran last week.

Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard have vowed a “painful” response to Haniyeh’s killing in Tehran.
In related developments, rockets fired at Al-Asad Airbase in Iraq injured several US personnel. The Pentagon attributed this attack to Iran-backed groups.
Nasrallah hinted at a coordinated response among allied groups, stating, “We might all respond at the same time, or maybe it’s better for each [group] to respond in the way that suits them and with the targets they choose.”
In response to the escalating situation, US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin has ordered additional military assets to the region, including a carrier strike group, a fighter squadron, and more warships.
Efforts to de-escalate the situation are underway. Diplomatic activities have intensified globally, with the Jordanian foreign minister visiting Iran in a rare attempt to ease tensions. US Secretary of State Antony Blinken has also been in communication with G7 foreign ministers to address the urgent need for de-escalation.
